Based at Middle Harbour Yacht Club, Mosman, Flying Cloud offers convenient walk-on access for private yacht charters, sailing adventures and race events on Sydney Harbour and beyond.
A proper performance sailing yacht
The Beneteau First 40 is a modern performance cruiser/racer, combining responsive handling and competitive racing capability with the comfort of a cruising yacht.
Her spacious cockpit is designed for efficient sail handling, while removable cockpit lockers provide flexibility for racing and cruising.
Below deck, a contemporary interior features three double cabins, two convertible saloon berths, a fully equipped galley and an enclosed toilet and shower. She sleeps six comfortably, or up to eight using the saloon berths.

Enjoy a relaxed skippered charter, or get involved at the helm and help trim the sails.
As an RYA and Australian Sailing-accredited sailing school, Flying Fish can also arrange private sailing instruction and tailored training charters.
Race yacht charter
Flying Cloud is available for selected yacht racing events, subject to approval. Race-optimised with a carbon mast and a full suite of racing sails, she offers an exciting platform for experienced racing crews.
Race charter enquiries are assessed individually, with evidence of skipper competence and crew experience required.
Special events on Sydney Harbour
New Year's Eve, Australia Day and Boxing Day are popular charter dates and tend to book early.

- How do I secure my booking?
- Use the enquiry button above to check availability and confirm your charter details.
- A 20% deposit secures your booking, with the balance due 60 days before departure. Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred with sufficient notice.

- Can we tailor the itinerary?
- Yes. Your skipper can tailor the day to suit your group, including sailing, sightseeing, swimming or stopping for lunch, subject to weather and harbour conditions.
- What happens if the weather is unsuitable?
- Our skipper will assess the conditions and make safety decisions accordingly. If conditions are unsuitable for your charter, we'll discuss rescheduling or an alternative arrangement.
